Roundtrip with family, 9 days

Looking for a possible round trip in Sri Lanka, we became aware of SLD Tours via Tripadvisor. Many positive and great reviews have led us to contact Mr. Hasantha and clarify our ideas.

Everything went smoothly. Mr. Hasantha responded promptly and made us an offer.

When we arrived in Sri Lanka, Mr. Hasantha was already waiting for us and introduced us to our tour guide.

Thushara should be our companion for the coming days. However, he quickly became not only a guide, he became part of our round trip. With all his knowledge, we were able to experience more than just a round trip. It was indescribably beautiful. Thushara has an incredibly large knowledge of all the sights, the history of Sri Lanka, the origin of the faith cultures and of course also knows all the tricks that get the most out of such an experience. With his contacts, we were able to dive deeper into the culture of Sri Lanka. We were allowed to participate in the preparation of a classic meal with a small family and then of course enjoy the delicacies. A really great and interesting experience. Culinary as well as cultural.

The two safari guides, which Thushara recommended, were also very experienced. So we could not only take a lot of knowledge about the animals in the parks (Yala National Park and Minneriya) with us, we could also see many elephants. There was even a leopard. This to small highlights.

Thushara is definitely a guide who could immerse a stranger in the life and culture of Sri Lanka as you can’t even imagine. He has grown very close to our hearts on the trip and we are already looking forward to the next tour with him.
